Projects
At the Garden Club, we explore the wonders of gardening through hands-on experiments, inspiring lectures, and exciting events! Join us to dig into new projects, learn garden tips, and share the joy of growing together. Whether you're a beginner or a green thumb, there's something for everyone!
Winter Sowing
For our Winter Sowing Project, we’ll plant seeds in repurposed milk jugs and leave them outside to let nature work its magic. The cold weather will prepare the seeds to sprout in spring, creating strong, hardy plants. It’s an easy, sustainable way to start a garden—just plant, place, and watch nature take its course!
Garden Design Challenge
Learn to design a small pollinator garden in your yard or in pots using geometry! We'll use shapes and spacing to create an ideal layout that provides food, water, and shelter for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. This is a simple, creative way to support wildlife while learning garden design basics!
Plant Sale
Join us for our May-June Plant Sale, featuring 4-inch pots of vibrant flowers and tasty veggies. It’s a great chance to develop sales and communication skills while supporting a good cause—all funds raised will go toward wildlife protection and club trips. Help us grow a better world, one plant at a time!
Pollinator Garden Challenge
In an inspiring collaboration, Kashmir’s Pollinator Garden Club joined forces with Rossen Landscaping and seniors at The Residence at Colvin Run to create a vibrant pollinator garden—a project that blends nature, geometry, and community spirit. With the generous support of Rossen Landscaping, who donated the plants and provided the labor to prepare the space, the students planted the garden, applying their geometry skills to design a space that would sustain bees, butterflies, and birds.

Club officers Kashmir Pandolfi and Georgia Orcutt shared their passion for pollinators in a heartfelt presentation, sparking a sense of purpose and excitement across generations. This hands-on project taught students valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and environmental responsibility, showing how small actions can create a big impact on the world around us.

Through this collaboration, students and seniors built more than just a garden—they planted the seeds of change, creating a thriving habitat that will support pollinators for years to come.
